Line Distribution lets you make a K-pop line distribution video in your browser—without building bars or timers in a separate editor. This guide uses the recommended workflow: add an entire group at once, use the official YouTube MV as your timing reference, enter every vocal section in Ranges mode, then upload the local video and music files needed for the export.
The process in four steps
- Add the group members. Use Add a whole group to import every member at once; replace any default Wiki-sourced profile photo you do not want to use.
- Add the reference video. Paste the official YouTube MV link so the video and playhead stay in sync while you work.
- Create Ranges. For each member, capture the start and end of every singing section with the circular playhead buttons.
- Download the video. Upload matching local video and music files in the export dialog, then wait for the browser to finish rendering.
1. Add every member with the group picker
Open Line Distribution and choose Add member. In the member dialog, select Add a whole group, search for the group, and choose Add group. The picker adds the group's members in one action, so you do not need to create every row manually.
The imported members use the profile photos available through the group catalog's Wiki data by default. To use a different image, open a member's ••• menu, choose Edit member, and upload the photo you prefer. You can also adjust each member's name, color, and number shortcut there.
Before moving on, check that the member list is complete and that the colors are easy to distinguish in a fast-moving video.
2. Add the official YouTube MV
Select Audio/Video, paste the link to the song's official YouTube MV, then choose Use YouTube. Using the official MV gives you a visual and audio reference for identifying each member, while the video's playhead is shared with Ranges mode.
Use this YouTube link for timing and checking the sections. It is not a local file that the browser can add to the exported video, so you will upload the matching video and music files in the final download step.
3. Use Ranges mode for every member's parts
Ranges is the recommended mode when you want to make a video. It records each part as a clear start and end interval, making it easy to check or correct a specific line later.
- Select Ranges above the member list.
- Click a member's round avatar row to expand that member's ranges, then choose Add range.
- Play the MV and pause at the start of the member's part. Click the circular ◉ button beside Start to capture the current video time.
- Play to the end of the part and pause again. Click the circular ◉ button beside End to capture that time.
- Add another range for the member's next part, then repeat this for every member.
You can type a time directly if needed, but the circular buttons are the fastest way to copy the current playback position. Add overlapping ranges when more than one member is audibly singing. Once you have ranges, you can replay the project or proceed to Download Video without using the Timing-mode finish button.
4. Upload matching video and music, then download
Choose Download Video when all ranges are in place. In the download dialog:
- Turn on Include music and upload the matching music file. An audio or video file can supply the music.
- Turn on Background video and upload the matching MV video file.
- Optionally add Color Coded Lyrics: in the Lyrics panel, paste the lyrics and mark each line with its member and time range. Then turn on Include lyrics in the download dialog so every line uses that member's color in the finished video.
- Start the download and keep the tab open while the browser renders the line distribution video.
If you need local files for a YouTube MV you are authorized to use, you can paste the same link into ytdown to obtain the matching video and music files, then upload them here. Make sure you have the necessary permissions and follow the applicable copyright, platform, and downloader-site terms before downloading or publishing any material.
The export is rendered in your browser, so the final wait time depends on the song length, file size, and device. When it finishes, save the generated video.

Quick checks before you export
- Every group member appears exactly once and has the photo you want.
- The YouTube MV and the local export files are the same version of the song.
- Every vocal part has a start and end range; intentional harmonies may overlap.
- Music and background video are both selected in the download dialog.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the YouTube link itself as the export file?
No. The YouTube link is for synchronized playback and timing. To include music and a background video in the export, upload local files for the same version of the song.
Why use Ranges instead of Timing mode?
Ranges saves every vocal part as an editable start and end interval. It is easier to review a specific transition, correct a time, and prepare a finished video.
Can ranges overlap?
Yes. Add overlapping ranges when multiple members can be heard at the same time, such as in a harmony or shared line.
